Return and Refund Policy

If you are not completely happy with your order, please contact us at:

Please include your order number, full name, reason for the return, and photos if the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or not as described.

Returns

Customers may request a return within 7 days of receiving their order, where applicable.

To qualify for a return, the item must be:

  • Unused

  • In its original condition

  • In its original packaging where possible

  • Returned with all accessories, parts, tags, and inserts included

Please do not return any item before contacting us and receiving return instructions.

Online purchase cooling-off period

As an online store, we recognise that customers may have certain cooling-off rights under South African e-commerce law.

Where applicable, a customer may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receiving the goods, provided the item is unused and returned in its original condition.

For change-of-mind or cooling-off returns, the customer may be responsible for the direct return courier cost.

Defective, unsafe, or poor-quality goods

In line with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), customers may have the right to return goods that are defective, unsafe, not of good quality, not reasonably durable, or not as described.

If a defect appears within 6 months of delivery and was not caused by misuse, abuse, incorrect handling, or normal wear and tear, the customer may be entitled to choose one of the following remedies where applicable:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Refund

We may request photos, videos, or the return of the item to assess the issue before processing a remedy.

Damaged or incorrect orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible at:

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the item

  • Photos of the packaging

  • A clear description of the issue

If the issue is confirmed, we will assist with a suitable solution in line with applicable law.

Items that may not qualify for return

Returns may not be accepted where:

  • The item has been used

  • The item was damaged by the customer

  • The item is missing parts or accessories

  • The item shows signs of wear and tear

  • The item was not purchased from Im Just A Girl

  • The return request is outside the applicable return period

This does not limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act.

Return shipping

For change-of-mind or cooling-off returns, the customer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

If the item is defective, incorrect, or damaged due to our error, we will assist with the return process in line with applicable law.

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email.

If your refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method where possible.

Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Exchanges

Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

Direct marketing cooling-off rights

If a transaction resulted from direct marketing, customers may have a right to cancel within 5 business days from the later of the date the agreement was concluded or the date the goods were delivered, where applicable under the Consumer Protection Act.
